Boost your kids’ mental health with self-expression pizzas!

People of all ages haves have had to endure a tough 12 months, no more so than children. Missing out on valuable time spent at school, getting their routines turned upside down and having to adapt to so many changes are all factors which can take their toll on mental wellbeing. With it being Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, I’ve put together a fun activity to provide an opportunity for families to share how they are feeling, whilst practising our skills in the kitchen!  

Create pizza faces depicting how you are all feeling at the moment!

If you are interested in eating expressing your feelings this week, try out our healthy pizza recipe! Don’t forget to share your creations with us and check out the pictures below for some inspiration.  

Use your imagination to create a healthy pizza which shows just how you are feeling – happy, sad, tired, angry, whatever it may be. With the wide variety of pizza toppings available there is no emotion that can’t be created! Here are some topping ideas:

  • Peppers
  • Onion
  • Tinned Sweetcorn
  • Tomatoes
  • Olives – black or green
  • Pineapple
  • Ham
  • Salami
  • Chorizo
  • Chicken strips
  • Mushrooms
  • Rocket or spinach
