Training Tips

Get Organised

You will, of course need a good training programme to continue to develop on a safe and progressive way.
There are lost of great training programmes on the internet and we are happy to help you find one that works for you.

Swimming in open water is brilliant, but it is different from swimming in a pool! You can wear a wetsuit, which can be hired from the venue on the day and during training. Though you will probably also need to visit your local pool to build up stamina. A couple of open swims are recommended to make sure you are used to the feeling.

The venue offer selected times to swim in the lakes to train.

Dates and times can be found here.

It isn’t mandatory to do this challenge for charity, but it is a great way to make money for a cause close to your (new and improved, healthier) heart.
Taking peoples money for charity is also a great motivator! It is a way of using the habit before the habit to make a good decision now and ensure that you stick with it.

Of course, you can also do this challenge just as it is – for yourself. Which is also cool.
