1 ½ lb. (680g) chicken breast, cut into roughly 1.5 by 1-inch pieces
1 egg, whisked
1 cup crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs
½ tsp. salt-free garlic powder
½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 cup of flour
Olive oil spray
Other seasonings: Mixed herbs/Mixed spices/Cajun spices/Paprika
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Take the chicken out of the fridge
Prepare your breading station. In three separate bowls place the following:
Bowl 1: Flour
Bowl 2: Whisked egg
Bowl 3: Crushed cornflake breadcrumbs mixed with spices (garlic, salt & pepper)
Spray a baking tray with the spray oil. • Start breading your chicken by rolling each strip or nugget into the flour, then dipping it in the egg, and finally rolling it in the cornflake crumbs/breadcrumbs.
Place the nugget on the baking tray and continue with the others until all are breaded.
Give all the nuggets a quick spray of olive oil and place it into the oven until brown and crispy, 15 to 20 minutes
Now eat and enjoy!
