Healthy Breakfast Ideas

The most important meal of the day

Breakfast – we’ve all heard the saying that it’s “the most important meal of the day” but it really is! Let me explain to you a little bit about why: While we sleep our bodies are using the energy we’ve stored throughout the day so it’s important to replenish this when we wake up otherwise it can slow down our metabolism (our metabolism is the rate at which we burn energy, and everyone’s is different). Did you know that sumo wrestlers purposefully don’t eat breakfast in order to slow down their metabolism and burn less energy throughout the day?

When it comes to breakfast there are so many different options available, one of the most common of these is cereal which can be a great start to the day. However that might not always be the case as sometimes these can be loaded with sugar.
